Cullen (C. B.) Crawford introduced the first
flareless tube fittings in the 1940's as a co-founder of the Crawford Fitting Company
which later evolved into Swagelok. In response to a request from the U. S.
government he designed a fitting to handle liquid sodium reliably. That same
superior 4-seal patented technology is built into today's TYLOK tube fittings. This
unique design eliminates common installation problems, is easier on the tubing connection,
is largely reusable, and provides unparalleled sealing.
In their modernized manufacturing facility
in Euclid, Ohio, TYLOK produces flareless tube fittings, pipe fittings, and ball valves in
