Although many of the components we handle are relatively inexpensive instruments, some are well worth trying to repair rather than replace. We offer a no-charge in-house evaluation and estimate of the cost of repairing items we supply, or even those of other manufacturers. In addition, our repair department pre-evaluates potential warranty returns prior to sending them for repair or replacement by the factory. Often we can short circuit a potentially lengthy service outage in this way. For billable repairs, we use 50% of the cost of new as a guideline for determining the viability of repair vs. replace. When in doubt, send it in and for the cost of shipping (both ways if you want it back) we will evaluate it and give you an estimate of repair cost. If, after we do the estimate and you approve it, we find that it is not able to be repaired as we had thought, you owe us nothing. Before sending any material to us, please contact us for an RGA# so that we can instruct our receiving department to accept the material and track it after it arrives. |
