Originally part of Watts Regulator Company of Lawrence
MA, Watts FluidAir has manufactured pneumatic pressure regulators, filters, and
lubricators in Kittery Maine since the 1960's. After being "spun off" and
sold in the mid 70's, Watts FluidAir, along with Climax of Blois, France, and Maxam of
Carn Brea, England, recently made up Siebe Pneumatics, a division of a $5 billion
international Siebe plc conglomerate based in England that also owned Foxboro Controls,
LeRoi Compressor and other well known US and worldwide manufacturing companies.
When Siebe joined Britain's BTR to become Invensys, the three companies
mentioned above became Invensys Pneumatics. In October of 2000, Cleveland
based Parker Hannifin Corporation purchased the Invensys Pneumatics Div., and
renamed it domestically as Watts FluidAir, but this time as a unit of Parker
Hannifin Pneumatics North America. Parker Hannifin, a $5 billion
international manufacturer, brings a wealth of resources to the table and Watts
enhances Parker's position as a force in the pneumatics marketplace.
