ITT Conoflow diaphragm seals started life as Hildebrandt Engineering in Houston, Texas. In the 80's they were purchased by ITT, and eventually absorbed into ITT Conoflow who moved the manufacturing to St. George, SC. Since they did not retain many of the personnel, however, a few years later some of the original employees founded what is now a competitor, PI Components in Brenham TX. ITT Conoflow has retained the quality and designs that made the product a standout in the chemical protector industry, while adding innovations and technical advances of their own. Diaphragm seals are designed to transmit pressure to an instrument who's wetted parts are, in one way or another, not compatible with the measured media. For instance, a sludge or slurry that would plug up the small orifices in a pressure gauge, or a concentration of aggressive acids incompatible with the material the required gauge happens to be made of. Because of the complexity of materials, displacements, and the like, the matrix below is not very detailed. Please contact us for information on the appropriate solution for your application and continue to watch this site for future enhancements.
